Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola wowed with a romantic rumba on Strictly Come Dancing after confirming their romance.
The pair have been subjected to romance rumours for a number of weeks now, but their co-star Amanda Abbington seemingly confirmed they were dating when she let slip they were a couple in a comment on Ellie’s social media page earlier this week.
The professional dancer has a number of sweet nicknames for Ellie, including ‘baby’, which he called in a sweet post online. Sharing a snap of them together, he wrote: “Just finished another day of rehearsal. Well done to my baby Ellie Leach.” In another sweet message, he addressed Ellie as “my Lulú”, writing: “I am so proud of you and you know. How much I believe in you so just keep going and keep working hard as you are already doing every day. You are doing great baby.”
The pair performed a passionate routine tonight.
Tonight, the pair danced an incredible Rumba to True Colours and were met with positive feedback from not only the judges but the public at home. One wrote: “Oh these two are so in love. Not to be gushy but I am here for it. Beautiful couple #strictly,” whilst a second added: “Ellie and Vito – that was beautiful #strictly.”
A third shared: “Find someone that looks at you the way Vito looks at Ellie! #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing,” with a fourth writing: “Wow, real passion between Ellie & Vito. Phew!! #strictly.”
Speaking to Claudia upstairs, Vito heaped praise on Ellie, saying he was so proud of her and was hoping to build her confidence through this experience, with the pair looking lovingly at one another.
In a lengthy post last week, Vito posted a gushing tribute to ‘his Lulu’, saying how proud he was. He wrote: “Just THANK YOU. Sorry for repeating the same thing more times but this is the only way I have to show you all my gratitude and How thankful I am. One year ago when I moved here to the UK I couldn’t imagine that I would have feel so loved.
“Thank you thank you thank you very much. And to you my Lulú.. I am so proud of you and you know How much I believe in you so just keep going and keep working hard as you are already doing every day. You are doing great baby. Have a good rest tonight and make sure you eat properly. See you tomorrow for another beautiful day together.”
Coronation Street star Ellie also posted a sweet message for her dance partner, writing when they made it through to this week’s competition: “thank you, thank you, thank you. What a magical night, we are so grateful for all of your support and we’re soooo happy to be through to another week on that strictly dancefloor.”
