Dion Dublin says it is “amazing” to be back at Hillsborough for the first time in 22 years. The former Aston Villa and Coventry City striker is on BBC punditry duties ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s mouth-watering FA Cup third round clash against Newcastle United this evening.

The final match of Dublin’s illustrious career came for Norwich City against Wednesday at Hillsborough in 2008. The former England international was given a standing ovation by all four corners of the ground to celebrate his decorated career as a player.

Over 36,000 fans packed into S6 to witness the final match of the 2007/08 season and Wednesdayites gave Dublin a lengthy round of applause when he was subbed off in the closing stages of the clash.

On his Twitter account today, Dublin posted: “My 1st time back in this amazing stadium since the last game in my professional career. Thank you so much @swfc for an amazing send off!”

Wednesday boss Darren Moore has made two changes to his starting XI. There are recalls for Dominic Iorfa and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru as the Owls target a place in the fourth round. Mallik Wilks and Callum Paterson drop to the bench.

Premier League big boys Newcastle United, meanwhile, have made eight changes. Only Sven Botman, Sean Longstaff and Joelinton retain their places from the team who were held to a goalless draw at Arsenal last week.

Sweden international Alexander Isak makes his long-awaited return, having not featured since 17 September with a hamstring injury.
