Bayonne Students Learn About History of Political Cartoons

Hyman #Hyman

BAYONNE, NJ – Ryan Hyman, a former Bayonne resident and current F.M. Kirby Curator at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum in Morristown, was a special guest Wednesday in Mr. Murphy’s US2 Honors and Advanced Placement class.

During the virtual conversation, the Bayonne High School students engaged with Hyman in a conversation about the work of political cartoonist and artist, Thomas Nast, as well as about their guest’s career as a museum curator.

Hyman’s presentation was part of a series of lectures by guest speakers to students in the Bayonne High School Social Studies Department.
