1. Mr Donatti, Miss Twinning, Ms Schultz, Mrs Dangerfield and Mr Anderson — just some of the incredible State primary school educators who had a profound impact on me and whose wisdom and teaching has lived on with me to this day. What’s the issue in our schools today? Why are so many teachers leaving? Whatever it is, we need to fix it. Today’s students shouldn’t miss out on the opportunity to be positively impacted because teachers no longer feel safe or confident in the classroom. This crisis needs urgent attention.

2. I note that in among the sweeping reforms to WA laws which govern political donations announced by the Cook Government this week, there is no change to what property developers will be allowed to contribute. No change and no ban. Interestingly in the Labor-governed States and Territories of NSW, Queensland and the ACT, property developers and their close associates are banned from making political donations.
