Bamba Dieng to fly to UK ahead of €10m move to Leeds from Marseille

Bamba Dieng is scheduled to fly by private jet to the UK this afternoon to complete his proposed transfer to Leeds United.
There is believed to be an agreement between the clubs for a fee in the region of €10million including bonuses with a proposed contract of four years.
If all goes to plan he will undergo a medical and complete a move to the Elland Road club.
Dieng’s move to Leeds will allow for the completion of Dan James’ loan move to Fulham.
Reports in France indicated that Dieng was on the verge of a move to Lorient but Leeds have intervened with tonight’s deadline less than 10 hours away.

Dieng moved to Marseille from Senegal in 2020 and made his first-team debut last year. He was part of the Senegal squad that won the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The club’s search for the last-minute addition of a striker to their squad has led them to Dieng following an unsuccessful attempt to secure Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven last night.
Leeds’ director of football, Victor Orta, was in Eindhoven yesterday with the intention of landing Gakpo but the winger is set to remain in Holland after PSV rejected offers from Elland Road and Southampton.
Hwang, meanwhile, had been the subject of interest from Leeds earlier in the day, an approach which was knocked back by Wolverhampton Wanderers.
