Bake Off 2022’s Biscuits Week eliminated baker pens inspiring letter
Bake Off #BakeOff
The Great British Bake Off 2022 spoilers follow.
The Great British Bake Off 2022’s latest eliminated baker has penned a goodbye letter to their colleagues and the fans.
Tuesday’s episode saw the bakers getting into the tent for the second time this series, to be tested by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith on their biscuit-making technique. Unfortunately, Maisam didn’t pass the Showstopper challenge and had to go.
In spite of leaving the show, Maisam shared a wonderful final note on social media to celebrate her Libyan heritage and encourage others to follow their passion.

“To go from baking in my own kitchen and into the tent just shows that you shouldn’t underestimate your passions because they can take you places you’d never imagine,” Maisam wrote.
“I can now say that I am part of a very exclusive Bake Off family, and I have gained 11 new amazing friends I will keep for life.”
Maisam promised Bake Off is “the very start” of her baking journey and is looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Last week’s eliminated, former charity director Will Hawkins, shared a similar sentiment when he had to leave the tent after a Cake week disappointment.
“For me, Bake Off is something really special,” he wrote. “I feel it defines a contemporary vision of Britishness – a diverse, dynamic, friendly, creative, supportive and loving place brought together by a shared passion for baking.”
Will added: “I feel so honoured to be a part of that [passion].”
The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it’s known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix. Bake Off: An Extra Slice, hosted by Tom Allen and Jo Brand, will be airing on Fridays at 8pm on Channel 4.
