B.C. safety minister recognizes wildfire burning near Lytton is stressful for residents, structures lost but no injuries

B.C. Minister of Public Safety Mike Farnworth provideed an update on the Nohomin Creek wildfire impacting the Lytton community Friday. He said structures were lost, but there have been no injuries. Farnworth also provided an update on the evacuation orders and alerts in the area and resources being deployed. He said while the fire is growing, models suggest it should not impact other nearby communities, but residents should stay informed and prepare in the situation should change.
