Azpi coached wonderkid through training session as teenager “nutmegged” a full international

The Omari Hutchinson hype is real – and it’s growing.

.After arriving on a free transfer from Arsenal in the summer, the 18 year old disappeared off the first team radar, but he’s been excellent with the U21s, and is really pushing for minutes in Graham Potter’s senior set up.

It’s not just his sublime goals and assists in the youth ranks that are putting on the pressure. According to a long read in the Athletic today, the winger has also been impressing when called up to first team training sessions.

Simon Johnson’s piece claims that he played on the right wing ahead of Cesar Azpilicueta, who was able to coach him through the game.

There’s also talk of the kid nutmegging a “full international”, “on more than one occasion.”

You can’t ignore that kind of talent for long. With Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech deep into their respective malaise, an injection of danger out wide is soon to be needed from the youth ranks.
