Aston Villa vs Chelsea: Tyrone Mings’ shocking error for Mason Mount goal

Mings #Mings

Tyrone Mings gifted Chelsea a golden opportunity to take the lead in their Premier League clash on Sunday with an awful piece of defending.

Mason Mount was the beneficiary of Mings’ mistake – a stray header that looked initially looked simple enough to deal with.

But for whatever reason, despite being under no pressure at all, the centre-back accidentally mistimed his clearance and sent the ball travelling in the opposite direction back towards his own goal.

Mount latched onto the stray clearance and coolly slotted past Martinez.

Check the error and resulting goal out for yourself below.

The Englishman has come under fire in recent times after Steven Gerrard opted to remove him as captain of the club.

And it seems he just can’t catch a break right now, when after fighting his way back into contention for the Villa starting eleven, he’s made another high-profile error that’s cost the club dearly.
