Arsenal man Kai Havertz has head in his hands after ‘glaring miss’ against Manchester United

Kai Havertz’s troubles in front of goal for Arsenal continued with a painful miss against Manchester United.
The so far scoreless summer signing had a fine opportunity to put the Gunners a goal up with ten minutes on the clock at the Emirates Stadium.

Gabriel Martinelli had found plenty of space on the left of the United box, and when the ball wasn’t cleared, it fell favourably to Havertz.
However, after controlling the ball, he aimed to tuck it away with left boot, only to barely touch the ball, instantly putting his head in his hands after the great opportunity.
Commentating on the wasted chance, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook said: “We’ve just seen a glaring miss from Havertz.
“It’s not up there with some of the sitters we’ve had in the Premier League this weekend but I tell you what it’s not far away.
“Martinelli, who has started this game really well, put the cross in the area, [Diogo] Dalot headed it off [Anthony] Martial and it diverted into the path of Havertz who from six yards out, just kicked thin air.
“He just had to poke the ball beyond [Andre] Onana and Arsenal would have been in front.”
Things didn’t get much better for Havertz later on as his sloppy pass went straight to Christian Eriksen, who then travelled into Arsenal’s half before playing in Marcus Rashford, who brilliantly curled the ball in-off the post.
But the home side hit back instantly when Martin Odegaard slotted in the equaliser.
