Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign one Brighton and Hove Albion player, and they’ve been urged to do the same for another.

After several weeks of discussions between the two clubs, as reported by football.london last Friday, the Seagulls have finally accepted an offer from the Gunners for centre-back Ben White.

It’s understood that it has taken a £50million bid to get a deal over the line for the England international.

Furthermore, as personal terms between Arsenal and White have already been agreed, all that is left for this transfer to be finalised is the 23-year-old successfully completing his medical.

However, White is not the only Brighton player on the Gunners’ radar.

Their interest in Yves Bissouma was first revealed back in January, and since the end of last season, a number of Arsenal fans have made it clear that he could be the perfect midfield partner for Thomas Partey.

In fact, some supporters were sent into a transfer frenzy on Sunday afternoon when the 24-year-old posted a message on social media.

Despite the message having nothing to do with a potential summer transfer, Arsenal fans replied by urging Bissouma to reunite with his close friend Nicolas Pepe at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

But with Brighton poised to demand around £40m for the former Lille midfielder, signing him may not be such a simple task for Arsenal’s technical director Edu.

Although, just like with negotiations regarding the White deal, Arsenal know how to get the deal done as the Seagulls would be willing to sell Bissouma for the right price.

This stance was confirmed by Brighton chairman Tony Bloom before the summer transfer window even opened.

“It’s not a flip side at all,” he told The Athletic. “The more big clubs there are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I’m delighted with that.

The summer window is officially open, and it’s going to be tough to keep up with the comings and goings in and out of the Emirates.

“We know some of our best players are not going to be with us forever.

“If the right offer comes along — and it has to be the right offer — and they want to go, then they will leave. I foresee the vast majority to be here at the beginning of next season.”
