Bubba Wallace and Aric Almirola got into a heated confrontation during Monday’s Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Almirola appeared to shove Wallace during a heated confrontation that took place during a red flag rain delay on Monday afternoon.

Video of the heated interaction between the two drivers has gone viral.

Following the race, Almirola explained what happened and why he shoved him.

“Early in the race, I felt like I was giving Bubba a lot of room when we were racing around each other. When he got by me, he shot me the bird,” Almirola explained.

“I went to ask him why he shot me the bird and he started mouthing off and cussing at me. I just told him I wasn’t going to have that. Just disappointing. That’s him, I know that.”

Wallace, meanwhile, didn’t have as much to say.

“We’re just frustrating with how we raced each other in stage two,” he said.

Ryan Blaney, meanwhile, ended up taking home the checkered flag on Monday night.
