Archer Aviation has entered into an agreement with aircraft components and systems developer and manufacturer FACC to fabricate and supply key fuselage and wing elements of Archer’s production electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft that is currently under development.

California-based Archer, which aims to advance the benefits of sustainability air mobility, is designing and developing eVTOL aircraft for use in urban air mobility.

According to Archer, the high-tech expertise of aerospace specialist FACC in the field of lightweight construction “will help ensure that Archer’s production aircraft can achieve its target range and payload capabilities.”

Archer expects to achieve type certification of its production aircraft in 2024.
