Antti Raanta injury: Carolina goalie leaves after collision with David Pastrnak, status uncertain

The Carolina Hurricanes lost goalie Antti Raanta early in the first period of Game 2 of their first-round playoff series with the Boston Bruins.
Raanta was bleeding from his face, likely his mouth, as he left the ice after a collision with Bruins forward David Pastrnak, 7:47 into the game. After a long clear-in by the Bruins, Raanta played the puck from the corner and was clearing the puck as Pastrnak, who was trying to block the clear, charged in with a head of steam trying.
The Bruins forward was originally assessed a 5-minute major but upon review, it was reduced to a minor for interference as Pastrnak’s stick was low and twisted off the goal on the play. Pyotr Kochetkov replaced Raanta in goal.
Kochetkov is Carolina’s No. 3 goalie as Frederik Andersen was already on the shelf with a lower-body injury. Carolina entered the game with a 1-0 series lead.
The severity of the injury wasn’t clear. If Raanta was either being stitched up or checked for a concussion, those things take time, but wouldn’t rule out a return if there was no concussion.
Carolina scored the next two goals giving them a cushion if they wanted to be cautious.
