Antonio Brown compares Steelers’ Matt Canada to Hitler on Yom Kippur

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown posted some disturbing tweets Monday, comparing Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada to Adolf Hitler.
Brown did so on Monday, when Jews around the world celebrate Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, making it the holiest day on the Jewish calendar.
The first tweet regarding Canada on Brown’s verified X account shows a photo of the Pittsburgh coach with a Hitler-style mustache drawn on the picture.
Brown followed that up with a two-word tweet: “Adolf Canada.”
Users on X were taken aback, to say the least.
One person tweeted, “Yeah, this is wildly inappropriate. It’s not even remotely funny.”
“NO WAY,” another person posted.
Why Brown chose Monday to post the tweets is curious, and not just because of Yom Kippur.

They came hours after the Steelers piled up a season-high 333 yards of offense in their 23-18 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on “Sunday Night Football.”
Brown also slammed Canada in a video posted before Sunday’s game, according to @Blitz_Burgh.
“Matt Canada is a terrible offensive coordinator. Last week we scored six points in four quarters,” Brown said. “I think I should call the plays being that I am an offensive schemer and I am putting the players in the best position to emphasize their skills. Check me out: AB, offensive coordinator.”

Brown spent the first nine of his 12 NFL seasons in Pittsburgh, establishing himself as one of the best wide receivers in the game, collecting seven Pro Bowl selections and earning All-Pro honors four times.
But he flamed out with the Patriots and Buccaneers, famously taking off his jersey while walking off the field at MetLife Stadium against the Jets in January 2022.
That was the last time Brown played in an NFL game.

The personal grudge against Canada is interesting in that he and Brown were never on the Steelers at the same time.
Brown left after the 2018 season and Canada joined the Steelers in 2020.
