A London theatre has said that it is “sorry and saddened” after a comedian ordered an Israeli man who did not stand and applaud a Palestinian flag during his show to “get the f*** out of here”.
The Soho Theatre in central London said it was investigating the incident that took place on Saturday evening during Paul Currie’s show Shtoom, which is promoted as surrealist and non-verbal.
According to an attendee, who spoke anonymously to the charity Campaign Against Antisemitism, Currie showed the flags of the Palestinian Authority and Ukraine to the audience and encouraged them to stand and applaud.
