Anthony Davis didn’t make any of the three All-NBA teams for 2022-23

Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers had arguably his best season ever this year. He averaged 25.9 points a game on 56.3 percent field-goal shooting while also adding 12.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per contest in the regular season.
His shooting percentage and rebounding average were career-highs, and he also improved his free-throw accuracy from 71.3 percent last season to 78.4 percent this season.
In the playoffs thus far, Davis has put up 14.0 rebounds and 3.7 blocked shots a game, both of which lead the NBA, while hitting 88.7 percent from the charity stripe.
But when the All-NBA teams were announced on Wednesday, he arguably got snubbed, as his name wasn’t on any of the three squads.
League MVP Joel Embiid was the center for the first team, while Nikola Jokic and Domantas Sabonis, respectively, made the second and third teams.
One has to surmise that the reason Davis didn’t make any of the All-NBA teams was because of the right foot stress injury that limited him to 56 games in the regular season.
Perhaps this will give him plenty of motivation when the Lakers face the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals with a chance to knock out the defending champs.
