After our first look at the new Ant-Man film at San Diego Comic-Con, fans have been eagerly waiting for the long form trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The film will star Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lily as Hope Pym/The Wasp. Also making an appearance in this film—his first feature appearance after his appearance in Loki—will be Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror.

Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania | Official Trailer

The trailer starts with a cute little montage of Scott Lang enjoying the fruits of his Avengers labors, then in a classic case of “Someone Very Smart Invents Something Bad, Actually,” we see Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) turn on a little device that is sending a signal down to the Quantum Realm. This, of course, is extra bad news, and Janet van Dyne (the original Wasp, played by Michelle Pfeiffer) demands she shut it off immediately.

Naturally it goes to hell in a handbasket very fast and the whole family ends up swooshed into the Quantum Realm. Although previous iterations of the Quantum Realm are described as being pretty abandoned, this new interpretation shows a vast, sci-fi world that really gives off a Lost in Space vibe. Kang appears and promises to get the family home, but we all know this isn’t going to end well for anyone.

We also got a new poster showing Kang with Ant-Man and Wasp on the tip of his finger. Thankfully, he doesn’t appear this blue in the trailer!

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to be released on February 17, 2023.
