Anizio Carvalho of North Attleboro accused of secretly recording people in restroom at Foxborough business

A contract janitor for a Foxborough business was arrested and accused of discreetly recording people in one of the business’s restrooms, according to authorities.

The Foxborough Police Department said Anizio Carvalho, 29, of North Attleboro, was arrested and charged with photographing an unsuspecting nude person in violation of Ch. 272 Sec. 105.

An employee of the unnamed Foxborough business notified police on Tuesday after they found what appeared to be a hidden camera in a restroom in a common area of the building.

After authorities arrived at the scene, they found a phone actively recording video. The phone was disguised in a box on the floor made to look like extra cleaning supplies, officials stated.

Officers and detectives were able to stop the recording and identify the suspect, Carvalho, a contract janitor who had been working in the building.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said they’re trying to identify any other potential victims in Foxborough or buildings in other communities where Carvalho may have been working as a janitor.

Carvalho is expected to be arraigned at Wrentham District Court on July 20th.
