Rowen cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.
The right-hander was designated for assignment Wednesday but will remain in the organization after going through waivers unclaimed. Rowen surrendered seven runs on 12 hits with an 8:2 K:BB over 11.1 innings for the Angels.
