Angel Reese Hints at Possible LSU Return Ahead of Senior Day vs. Kentucky

Kentucky #Kentucky

LSU star forward Angel Reese, who has one year of eligibility remaining, will be honored at senior day March 3 against Kentucky. However, Reese hinted on X that this season might not be her last in Baton Rouge.

A WNBA career awaits Reese, who just led LSU to a national championship. The Tigers are faring well again this year, going 23-4 thus far and sitting 13th in the latest Associated Press poll.

Reese, who played her first two seasons at Maryland before transferring to LSU before the 2022-23 campaign, was a unanimous first-team All-American and the NCAA tournament’s Most Outstanding Player last year.

Obviously, the Tigers would love to welcome Reese back into the mix. She’s enjoying another great season with 19.4 points and 12.8 rebounds per game and just posted her first 20-20 game of the year (25 points, 20 boards) vs. Auburn.

Reese said before the season that she was entering 2023-24 with the mindset that she would be treating this campaign like it would be her last. However, her post on X casts doubt that it will be.

For now, Reese and the Tigers are focused on another potential national championship run. That certainly won’t be easy, especially with undefeated South Carolina towering over the rest of college hoops. But Reese knows what it takes to win it all and could very well lead the Tigers to the promised land again.
