Andy Cohen Shares What He’s Learned About Being a Dad on Ben’s 5th Birthday

Happy Birthday Ben #HappyBirthdayBen

It’s hard to believe that Andy Cohen’s oldest child is growing up.

How to Watch

Tune in to WWHL on Bravo Sunday through Thursday and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host and dad of two welcomed his son, Benjamin Allen Cohen, into the world via surrogate on Feb. 4, 2019, and, my, how time flies.

It seems like just yesterday the little one was in diapers, but now he is sweetly sharing ketchup with Andy, hanging out in the WWHL control room, and loving on his little sister, Lucy.

Ben just celebrated his fifth birthday over the weekend, and in typical Andy fashion, it was a fun-filled celebration. But Ben wasn’t the only one to reach a major milestone, as Andy also celebrated five years of being a dad.

Here’s what you may have missed on Bravo:

Andy Cohen on What He’s Learned Since Becoming a Dad

During the Sunday, Feb. 4, episode of WWHL, Andy gave his son a special shoutout on his birthday.

“Despite the occasional tantrums that rivals me at a Jersey Housewives reunion, he couldn’t make me happier,” Andy joked, before going on to countdown the top 5 things he’s learned about being a dad during the “Watch What Happens Five” segment.

Lesson No. 5? “Breakfast food is a very loose concept,” he said. “Turns out it’s just about putting something in your stomach.”

“No. 4 is learning Elsa is completely overrated. Anna is the star of Frozen,” he said. “That’s Ben Cohen.”

He went on to add that “Hot Wheels race tracks are next to impossible to keep fastened, knowing that is my No. 3. Don’t get me started.”

No. 2 — there is no limit on Halloween costumes. “You can have many Halloween costumes,” Andy shared.

“And the No. 1 thing Ben taught me this year, and every year, is that you can find joy in just about anything,” he said. “Happy birthday, buddy, I love you.”

Awww.

Andy Cohen’s Son, Ben Cohen, Turns 5: Party Details

And Ben’s fifth birthday celebration was just as sweet. Andy took to his Instagram Stories over the weekend, where he shared just one photo of his home, fully decked out for his son’s birthday with so many balloons.

There was a silver mylar balloon in the shape of a five, in addition to blue, pink, purple, and red latex balloons also adorned with his new age on them. If there is anything that screams “birthday party” it’s this.

Hopefully there was also a birthday cake involved, too.
