Andy Cohen Is Not Happy About Tom Sandoval’s Interview With Howie Mandel

Just when we thought we were out, the Vanderpump Rules drama pulls us back in.

On Tuesday, April 11, Tom Sandoval appeared as a guest on comedian, former Deal or No Deal host, and current America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel’s podcast, Howie Mandel Does Stuff, which he cohosts with his daughter Jackelyn Shultz. Sandoval discussed his affair with costar Raquel Leviss and his relationship with Ariana Madix, his girlfriend of nine years whom he cheated on with Leviss.

“I still love Ariana, and I care about her very much,” he said. “But we, for a while, had sort of just our own lives.” Sandoval also claimed to have broken up with Madix already, adding that she was “in denial.”

“You need to be heard because the narrative is everyone else’s but yours,” Mandel said. “I’m not condoning cheating on a partner…. I think some people have to have empathy and compassion.”

Sandoval, who appeared to place most of the blame on Madix, and Mandel, who did not seem to know anything about Vanderpump Rules before recording, got dragged on social media, and then by Bravo’s very own Andy Cohen, who hosts Vanderpump Rules reunions.

On Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, Cohen addressed the interview. He said that Mandel, who asked who Scheana Shay was in the middle of the interview, “didn’t do his homework” and called him a “jackhole,” per Page Six. “Howie, you have to be careful before you take a side. Bravo fans are very passionate.”

This is already so messy.

Sandoval’s costar Lala Kent, who has been openly critical of him since the news dropped, shared her thoughts on the interview via Instagram Stories. “It’s not that I don’t dig Howie Mandel. Dope, cool, got it, whatever, but what a weird fucking first interview,” she said.

Also on Tuesday, The Sun reported that Sandoval’s appearance on Mandel’s podcast could be a fireable offense, according to an “insider.”

Vanderpump Rules producers “had no clue he was doing this, of course not. They never would have allowed it,” the source said. “They’re putting so much time and energy into making sure the rest of the season is better than any other season and hyping up the reunion. So, him pulling this bitch move is basically producers’ worst-case scenario.”

Given the fact that Tom Sandoval’s interview only brought the show more attention, we’d have to assume a firing is unlikely. But then again….
