Andrea Brillantes set to star in new TV series ‘Drag You & Me’

Andrea Brillantes was recently announced as one of the lead stars of the upcoming TV series “Drag You & Me,” which will tackle the drag culture in the country.

The actress attended the series’ story conference along with co-stars Christian Bables, JC Alcantara, Ice Seguerra, Jon Santos, Romnick Sarmenta, as seen on Dreamscape Entertainment’s Instagram page on Monday, December 12.

“I am so thankful na ako ang napili nila. Exciting ang series na ito and excited din ako kasi alam ko na marami rin akong matututunan about it,” Brillantes said during the conference.

(I am so thankful that they chose me [for this project]. This series will be exciting, and I am also excited because I know I will be learning more about [the drag culture].)

“Gusto ko na ‘yung generation namin ay mas maging open — hindi lang generation ko [kundi] lahat — maging open sa community na ito at suportahan,” she added. (I aspire for our generation — not only my generation but everyone — to be open and support this community.)

The TV series, which will premiere in 2023, also stars KaladKaren, Jeric Raval, Lance Carr, PJ Endrinal, Amy Nobleza, Yves Flores, Noel Comia Jr., real-life drag queens Xilhouete, Brigiding, Viñas Deluxe and Precious Paula Nicole.

“Drag You & Me” is directed by JP Habac and produced by ABS-CBN Entertainment, Dreamscape Entertainment, and iWantTFC.

Meanwhile, Brillantes is reportedly set to headline a “Dyesebel” remake in 2023, as per comedian Ogie Diaz’s vlog on Sunday, December 11. However, no official announcements on the project have been made as of this writing.
