An Ants’ Christmas at Emmetts Garden
National Trust #NationalTrust
2–31 December, 10am-3.30pm. Normal admission applies. £3 per trail including an activity booklet and festive prize.
This Christmas at Emmetts Garden there is festive fun for all the family.
Emmetts Garden is named after the giant ant hills that covered the estate in the 20th century and ‘Emmett’ is the old English for ‘Ant’. So, what better way to celebrate Christmas than drawing on our history to fuel our festive imaginations.
Join the trail around the garden and discover willow sculptures telling the tale of the ants of Emmetts Garden at Christmas. Become Anta’s little helper and help the Ants get ready for Christmas, solving puzzles along the way.
If you are lucky enough, you might just catch a glimpse of Anta Claus himself! He is often reading Christmas letters in his South Garden office and it is rumoured that he loves to drive the ‘Bugmobile’… There is also the chance to take a seat in Anta Claus’ special sleigh. Make sure to take a photo of this festive scene by Old Stables Tearoom.
