Amad Diallo scores first goal for Manchester United with brilliant header vs AC Milan

Amad #Amad

Amad Diallo made an instant impact off the bench to score his first ever goal for Manchester United in Thursday night’s Europa League tie against AC Milan.

Amad, 18, agreed to join United from Atalanta during the summer transfer window, and completed his move in January.

The winger was initially included in United’s Under-23s squad, but was quickly promoted to the first team following some excellent performances.

Amad got his biggest chance yet during Thursday’s Europa League round-of-16 first leg vs Milan at Old Trafford, coming on at half-time in place of Anthony Martial.

The Ivory Coast youngster duly repaid Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s faith with a brillaintly taken goal to put United ahead after a difficult first half.

Amad broke the defensive line to ghost onto a clever Bruno Fernandes through-ball, and proceeded to lob Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with a header while facing away to goal.

The header was reminiscent of one Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez scored for United against Stoke in 2010 – and a perfect way for Amad to announce himself to Red Devils fans.
