AM showers with clearing skies into the afternoon Monday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Monday morning. We will start off the early morning hours with mostly cloudy skies and comfortable temperatures in the middle 40s.
Umbrellas will be a good idea heading out the door to work and school as we are still tracking some light isolated rain showers across the Tennessee Valley. Morning showers will quickly come to an end and the cloud cover will move out by late morning into the afternoon leaving us mostly sunny and mild with high temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Skies will remain clear overnight with a breezy north wind gusting over 20 miles per hour, Tuesday morning temperatures will be chilly in the low to middle 30s.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be equally pleasant days here in early February with mostly sunny skies and above average high temperatures in the low to middle 60s. Thursday will usher in more cloud cover by the afternoon with rain showers developing overnight into Friday morning.
Friday through Sunday look wet with rain showers expected each day. Rainfall totals of 0.5 to 1.5 inches will be possible by the end of the weekend.
