The answer to a future trivia question: Wide receiver Allen Lazard was the first player to score a touchdown for the Green Bay Packers in London.
Lazard caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers on a run-pass option to put the Packers up 10-0 in the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 5 showdown with the New York Giants at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
A block from Doubs on the perimeter helped Lazard find the end zone.
The scoring drive traveled 60 yards in five plays. The Packers got a 22-yard completion from Rodgers to Doubs and a 33-yard pass interference penalty on Xavier McKinney to help set up the touchdown.
After the score, Lazard and Doubs passed on the “London Leap” and instead meditated together in the end zone.
Lazard has a touchdown catch in three of his first four games this season and in seven of his last nine regular season games.
