This was a first Merseyside derby that Liverpool’s Ozan Kabak probably won’t forget any time soon.
Kabak started the visit of Everton at Anfield tonight but it got off to a nightmare start for the 20-year-old defender, who joined on loan from Schalke last month.
Richarlison opened the scoring within three minutes of kick off after the Liverpool centre-back failed to read the Brazilian’s run.
It was such a nervy half for the Turkey international, who also got booked just before the break in what Jamie Carragher claimed was a moment of stupidity after going through the back of Seamus Coleman.

He told Sky Sports: “It was a stupid challenge from Kabak.”
Carragher later added: “Ozan Kabak is all over the place every time there is a long ball.”
Everton put the game to bed on 83 minutes when Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a second from the penalty spot, after a controversial decision it must be said.
Overall, Liverpool, who had Jordan Henderson go off injured in the first half, were second best for much of the game.
Yes, Kabak had a bit of a stinker overall but it’s worth remembering that he’s only 20 and if not for Jurgen Klopp’s utter desperation with regards to centre-back options then he wouldn’t have played.
He had a very good game in the Champions League win over Leipzig in midweek, indicating that the talent is certainly there.
