Alfredo Morelos keeps fit for Rangers return as Ibrox talisman sets off on car park isolation workout

Ibrox #Ibrox

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos kept active as his team fell to Champions League defeat despite grabbing a late second leg lifeline.

While Gers slid off the runway in Malmo with a 2-1 loss, Ibrox talisman Morelos has been stuck doing laps of a carpark at Glasgow Airport while he completes his quarantine stint following his return from Colombia.

Steven Gerrard could have done with his main striker as his side threw bodies forward in the final stages.

But Morelos now has a week to get himself ready for the return leg as Gers look to soar into the play-off round.

Gers grabbed a lifeline when Steven Davis’ deflected strike found its way into the Malmo net with mere seconds remaining in the Champions League qualifier.

And if Morelos is fighting fit for the return fixture against the Swedes it gives him a platform to add his considerable goal threat.

He’s giving it his best shot as he was spotted jogging around outside a Glasgow Airport hotel, after an extended pre-season break in Colombia which followed his summer Copa America duties.

Rangers are hoping to make the group stage of the competition as they return to Europe’s top table for the first time since 2011 – and will face Olympiacos or Ludogorets if they make it past Malmo next Wednesday.
