Alex Bregman, Bun B and Paul Wall collaborate for H-town-proud T-shirt
Paul Wall #PaulWall
A limited-edition T-shirt illustrated with three of Houston’s most recognizable celebrities is now on sale to support the Houston Food Bank.
Houston Astro Alex Bregman and Houston rappers Bun B and Paul Wall are depicted along with the slogan “FEEDHOU,” which is the initiative that Bregman and his fiancée Reagan Howard have supported in their goal to raise $1 million for the food bank’s efforts to help feed Houstonians during the coronavirus pandemic. That goal, which already has been met, was reset to $2 million.
That’s where the shirt comes in. The T-shirt is a project by students from the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business’s Program for Excellence in Selling. As part of a 3M-sponsored summer internship program, students from the Program for Excellence in Selling were tasked with developing a sellable item to help local nonprofits. A team of five students brought Houston Food Bank supporters Bregman, Paul Wall and Bun B together to collaborate on the shirt. The artwork was created by Mike Frost, the Houston photographer and graphic designer; local sneaker and streetwear retailer Active Athlete provided funding for the production of the shirts.
The shirt is a District Perfect Blend Tee made from a 50/50 cotton and polyester blend with a rib knit neck. It is available in black or white and in men’s and women’s cuts. It is $25 plus shipping; order at https://stores.inksoft.com/houston_food_bank/shop/home.
