Albian Ajeti gets off mark to keep Celtic in touch

Albian Ajeti failed to score at all last season for West Ham United, but has taken only two games to open his account for Celtic after joining them for £4.5 million. It was a precious strike, too, as they toiled at Tannadice against a determined Dundee United side who must have thought they had done enough defensively to earn a draw against the champions.

Yet they were left empty-handed as Ajeti drove home from inside the box after Benjamin Siegrist, who made several fine saves, failed to push a fierce effort from Ryan Christie over his crossbar. It instead fell into United’s box where Odsonne Édouard used his strength and skill.
