Alberta RCMP looking for ‘armed and dangerous’ suspects in kidnappings

Mounties in Lloydminster are looking for a pair of suspects in connection with the kidnapping of two people at gunpoint.

On Sept. 21, RCMP were called about the kidnapping of the pair after one of the victims was able to get away and call police. Mounties said both victims are currently safe.

They have issued warrants for 28-year-old Braidy Pardy and 21-year-old Matthew Nicholson for kidnapping, forcible confinement, aggravated assault and multiple firearms offences.
Police said they believe Pardy went to the Edmonton area, though he has ties to a number of eastern Alberta communities. Nicholson was last seen on Sept. 21 in Lloydminster, but has ties to Calgary and Edmonton as well.
Pardy is described as 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Nicholson is 5-foot-8, 130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
They’re both considered armed and dangerous and police said they shouldn’t be approached.
