Al Michaels had the worst time calling the Broncos-Seahawks dumpster fire of a football game so he just roasted it instead

The Broncos vs. Seahawks game was bad. Really, really bad. The Colts won 12-9, which seems like a really exciting baseball game score. But no, it’s a football game score, which shouldn’t happen. Ever.

Neither team managed to score a single touchdown despite actually having extra time to do it. The memes were actually the best thing we got from the game if we’re being honest. Maybe this cringy moment from Russell Wilson was pretty good, too?

I don’t know. Clearly, the point here is that the game was awful. Extremely awful. The good thing about it for us, though, is that as viewers we could check in and out when we wanted to.

The announcers? Boy, did they have a job to do. Kirk Herbstreit and Al Michaels were on the call for this game and, well, let’s just say it didn’t seem like a very enjoyable one.

Al Michaels, specifically, seemed completely fed up by the end of all this.

He was done. So done.

“This is the type of game you’d have as the fifth regional on CBS on Sunday.” — Al Michaels

“It’s 1st and Goal. Words I thought I would never speak tonight. — Al Michaels

He even tried his best to liven things up a little

It didn’t work.

Al Michaels: “You know I’m only half-kidding, but sometimes a game can be, at least at this point, so bad, it’s almost good. You know what I’m sayin’?”

Kirk Herbstreit: “No!” pic.twitter.com/g7Tfr1aBcj

Herbstreit was done, too.

He even understood fans bailing out early

If we’re being honest, Al probably wanted to leave with these folks. And who can blame him, honestly.

This will be my all-time favorite line from Al Michaels “Sometimes you’ve just got to beat the traffic.” #TNF pic.twitter.com/tGzILuttdS

I am now watching exclusively to see if Al Michaels says “Oh, Christ Almighty!” at some point in the fourth quarter

Al Michaels is livid that he’s had to watch these two offenses. Incredible television.

Al Michaels sounds like he’s being held there against his will.

Al Michaels cannot hide his utter disgust for this game and I’m here for it

— Chris Raybon (@ChrisRaybon) October 7, 2022

“Oh, man.”

– Al Michaels, saying literally everything that needs to be said

Al Michaels is so pissed. This is glorious.

Not even Herby can save it.

At least it’s over now. No one actually won here, but it’s over. Thank goodness.
