Al Michaels found a delightfully roundabout way to discuss the Chiefs covering the spread on TNF
Al Michaels #AlMichaels
Longtime NFL broadcaster Al Michaels found a very funny way to dance around the betting line of the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos game on Thursday Night Football.
As the game ended, the Kansas City Chiefs covered for their bettors with an 11-point win on a -10.5 spread going into the night’s game.
As he’s done many times over the years, Michaels pointed out the point differential in a very cheeky way to discuss sports betting in the most roundabout way possible. Leave it to Michaels to make a comment without really making a comment, which is why he’s still so beloved after all these years.
Sometimes, he knows just what to say without even saying it outright.
We continue to operate in an awkward space with sports betting being discussed in moments like this, but Michaels found a very smooth way to have the conversation without really, y’know, having the conversation.
