Akbar Ali Khan laid to eternal rest at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard

Economist and former adviser to the caretaker government Akbar Ali Khan laid to eternal rest in the section reserved for brave freedom fighters in the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard.
His burial took place on Friday (September 9) at 3.50 pm with the presence of his family members, relatives and well wishers.
Earlier, his namaz-e-janaza was completed after Friday prayers at Gulshan-1 Azad Mosque. At the end of the janaza, he was given state honours.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Dr Zafrullah along with Akbar Ali Khan’s relatives and thousands of people from all walks of life participated in the janaza.
Akbar Ali Khan passed away on Thursday (September 8) night. He was 78 years old. He was suffering from various complications related to old age.
