AC Milan are eyeing Olivier Giroud on a free transfer this summer on top of their move for his Chelsea teammate Fikayo Tomori, according to reports.

French World Cup winner Giroud’s current contract is due to expire at the end of June and he is unlikely to pen a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

The 34-year-old has fallen down the pecking order of strikers at the club since Thomas Tuchel arrived at the end of January.

Giroud’s representative Vincenzo Morabito recently revealed that there are a multitude of clubs interested in the former Arsenal striker’s signature.

And according to Eurosport, Milan are an interested party, and hope to snap him up on a free transfer in the summer window.

The Rossoneri are exploring a potential agreement but could face competition from West Ham, who are said to be likely to put out a feeler for Giroud.

The report states that Giroud is looking for a two-year contract and Milan represent a viable option as they can offer him Champions League football.

Milan have also made a decision on Tomori, who has impressed on loan at San Siro since making the January switch from west London.

The centre-back’s loan deal included a £25million option to buy, which the Serie A club plan on taking up.

Chelsea academy graduate Tomori is said to be keen on making the switch permanent, which Milan boss Stefano Pioli made clear earlier this month.

‘We want to buy Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea,’ said Pioli.

‘Our intention is clear and also Fikayo’s decision [staying at Milan].’
