Ferrari #Ferrari
Absolute Racing will expand its operations to partner with Ferrari next year, with the Chinese squad having confirmed a multi-car Ferrari 296 GT3 effort in Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS.
Announced on Friday, the newly established Absolute Corse subsidiary will enter a 296 GT3 for the full season, with a second car to be added later in the year.
It will mark the third different manufacturer the Ingo Matter and Fabien Fior-led team has aligned with, having already confirmed multi-car 2024 programs with both Audi and Porsche.
Absolute Corse will be based at the team’s headquarters in Shanghai, with an operational base located in the vicinity of Sepang International Circuit.
Driver lineups for the planned two-car Ferrari effort have yet to be announced.
“We are delighted to establish a new partnership with one of the most prestigious brands in the world,” said Matter.
“At Absolute Racing, we always think long term and strategically. We look forward to cultivating a lasting relationship with Ferrari.”
Absolute is runing a total of five cars in this weekend’s FIA GT World Cup in Macau, split between Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo IIs and Porsche 911 GT3 Rs.
