Aberdeen 2-3 PAOK: What the manager said
Aberdeen #Aberdeen
Aberdeen manager Barry Robson tells TNT Sports: “The slip is really difficult. You can’t coach that, the player doesn’t know it’ll happen. The next goal is a deflection that went against us, Johnny should do better. Big Ruby [Rubezic] was emotional at the end of the game there. He needs to be calm at this level.
“The boys were outstanding tonight. That’s a real top side. I’m just gutted for my boys and for the fans because we deserved to get a draw or even a win.
“They got it wrong once – again. It’s not even hard to get right. It’s happened to us in the past. I don’t know why it’s not been checked. I know the referee has come in and kicked his own door on the way in. I don’t know if that’s an indication that he knows he’s made a mistake? But he cost us tonight.
“We made mistakes and lost goals. But the referee and VAR has made a mistake. It doesn’t help us now, does it? What do we do? Do we sit and argue it again? It doesn’t help me any.
“It’s a learning experience but this is a top team we’re up against. We pressed at the right times, we could’ve been better with the ball – we know that. I’m really gutted for the players, because what a performance that was.”
