Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch partied so A-hard when they hosted a boozy karaoke bash at their holiday home, they drew complaints from the neighbours.

The pool party, hosted by the model and her footie legend husband for around 15 pals and relatives, went on into early yesterday and featured several very loud hits from the 1980s. Their rowdy renditions of songs by acts like A-ha – the Norwegian band fronted by Morten Harket – could be heard all over posh golf resort Quinta do Lago on the Algarve in Portugal.

Security staff from a nearby course even took a drive-by after the noise reached their clubhouse. One neighbour said: “The music was so loud everyone in the street could hear it – and several came out to see what was going on.”

Ex-striker and telly presenter Crouchy, who is 6ft 7ins, was going for all the high notes as he belted out the tunes. The source said: “You could hear him screaming his lungs out. “They were playing all the classics, like A-ha’s Take on Me. At one point Peter and Abbey sang Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody and the guests were cheering.

“The party started at around 5pm and didn’t wrap up until 1am, which did get on some residents’ nerves. Others felt they were just having a laugh – but hope they don’t do it too often.” The couple looked a little jaded yesterday, with Abbey seen to stifle a yawn as they took a yacht trip.

After they partied at Glastonbury last month, she joked Peter had “ruined” her festival experience by sinking too many beers and getting “in a bit of a state”. But Crouchy, 42, said: “It’s the rules. It’s like Brits abroad.
