A47 traffic: Live updates as lorry crash closes major road near Peterborough

A crash involving two lorries has closed the A47 (The Causeway) Westbound. The major Peterborough road is closed between the B1167 and Willow Hall Lane.

Traffic is building around Thorney, a village north-east of Peterborough’s city centre. Congestion is currently developing on both sides of the A47.

Police have confirmed that the westbound lane is closed, according to traffic information system INRIX. The crash was first reported shortly before 10am today (Sunday, August 14).
