A very happy Christmas to all our readers!
Happy Christmas #HappyChristmas
We don’t have to tell you that it’s been a year like no other!
Despite the lockdowns associated with the coronavirus, the loss of our printer for many decades, Turner’s Printing, which went into liquidation on Friday 13 March, with a loss of 50 jobs (we knew most of those wonderful people), and our distributors having to close their doors for a fortnight due to a COVID-19 case, the Gazette team kept the magazine on track throughout it all, while working remotely.
576 pages of the glorious Gazette!
Since mid-March, we have produced eight magazines, remotely – that’s a total of 576 pages of the glorious Gazette.
In addition, members can view the interactive, “all-singing, all-dancing digital magazine” (to quote our designer).
Our journalist Mary Hallissey with the assistance of freelance journalist Andrew Fanning have, between them, produced a total of 1,000 articles since the lockdown in March – all at your fingertips on gazette.ie.
Circulation up
The magazine’s circulation continues to increase, year on year, with a print run of 14,200 (readership of 42,600). In all, there were 12,793 downloads of the Gazette magazine in PDF format in 2020.
Visitors to Gazette.ie have been growing at a significant rate. The following 2020 figures tell the story best:
The Gazette continues to innovate and, from the start of 2020, we introduced bio-wraps as an alternative to polybags when distributing the magazine.
100% recyclable
The publication has been 100% recyclable for the past three years, uses environmentally-friendly paper, inks and varnishes – and the bio-wraps are 100% compostable.
Our sincere thanks to all our readers – whether hard-copy, soft-copy or web – for supporting us throughout the past year.
We look forward to bringing you the most important legal stories in 2021 – and wish you and your families a very happy and peaceful Christmas, as well as a healthy, fulfilling and prosperous New Year!
