“Bark at the Park” night has become a beloved tradition for baseball fans of all ages. Adding our faithful companions to baseball games is a win-win for everyone, after all.

But who says the pups should only be there in the stands?

As spotted in the ninth inning of the Mariners’ 7-2 win over the A’s at the Coliseum on Tuesday night, we were all treated to a concept previously unthinkable — but now one we will never be able to forget: a dog in the dugout!

After J.P. Crawford clubbed a solo homer to give Seattle a bit more breathing room against the A’s, he was seen in the dugout over near the camera well petting a husky that was taking in the vibe of an evening at the ballyard.

J.P. looked pretty excited about it. Wouldn’t you be, too?

The Mariners’ shortstop has a few huskies of his own at home, so he was clearly in his element petting this one, which belongs to the camera operator seen in the frames above.

Smash a homer, pet a husky, win a baseball game? Not a bad night for Crawford and the Mariners.

Now, to make “Bark in the Dugout” an everyday thing …
