A Drag Race Queen Just Did the Worst Cher Impression You’ll Ever See
Cher #Cher
The queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race have turned out some questionable Cher impressions over the years (see half the cast of “Cher: The Unauthorized Rusical”), but one Season 16 contestant just put them all to shame.
Underwhelmed by Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige’s performance in Friday’s “Everything Every-Cher All At Once” runway category, RuPaul presented the Miami-based with a simple question that would change everything: “Can you do a Cher impersonation? Let me see it.”

Mhi’ya looked Ru dead in the eye, with all the confidence of John Travolta introducing Adele Dazeem at the Oscars, and said… “I’m great!”
The entire studio erupted in laughter — the judges, the queens, the ghost of Merle Ginsberg — and Ru asked her to do it again, this time with one of Cher’s classic hair flips. The flip? Nailed. The voice? Again, not even close. And of all the things to say, of all the words one could possibly utter to impersonate Cher, why that?
Honestly, guest judge Sarah Michelle Gellar (R.I.P., Wolf Pack!) was being kind when she said the impression sounded like “Cher meets Kermit.” If we’re going to compare that voice to any Muppet, it’s going to be Cookie Monster. Period.
“This meme will live forever!” Ru said, still cackling. “It’s going to haunt you for the rest of your life!”
Fortunately, Mhi’ya avoided landing in the bottom two this week, so she’ll be back to slay another day. Let’s hope she brings that impression with her. Hit PLAY on the video below to check it out:
