Lil Baby Delivers Explosive, Guest-Heavy ‘The Bigger Picture’ Performance at 2021 Grammy Awards

At the 2021 Grammy Awards on Sunday (March 14), Lil Baby delivered a powerful performance of his hit “The Bigger Picture,” which was nominated for best rap performance.

His set opened with an aerial view of actor and activist Kendrick Sampson asleep in a car outside a storefront as two police approached, referencing the 2020 police killing of Rayshard Brooks. Later in the performance, activist Tamika Mallory delivered a speech in front of a set of bleachers filled with protesters. “President Biden,” she said, “We demand justice … We don’t need allies, we need accomplices.”

And as Lil Baby continued to walk the streets just outside the Los Angeles Convention Center, he approached his final guest: Killer Mike, who delivered a verse in front of dozens of microphones reminiscent of a press conference.
