Harry Maguire’s X-rated Aaron Wan-Bissaka rant overheard during Man Utd vs West Ham

Maguire #Maguire

Harry Maguire was left furious with Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, launching an expletive-filled rant at his teammate during the clash with West Ham on Sunday night.

The United skipper endured a bruising opening 45 against the Hammers and received lengthy treatment after taking a blow to the face.

He shook that off to return to the action at Old Trafford but was less than impressed at the quality of his team.

Wan-Bissaka was guilty of being careless with possession a number of times during a frustrating first-half, with David Moyes’ side happy to sit in a low block at Old Trafford.

After another stray pass from his defensive colleague, Maguire was overheard screaming: “F****** tidy up, stop giving the f****** ball away!”

It’s not the first time the vocal captain has been caught giving some blunt advice to his teammates, with the lack of fans meaning it is audible to spectators.

Maguire will be looking for an immediate reaction from his side, after failing to play with any of the fluidity they displayed at Manchester City last week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side looked in fine form then, beating the champions-elect 2-0, but failed to build on that with a disappointing draw against AC Milan in the Europa League.

And it appeared they have carried on from that midweek performance, lacking intensity in possession and failing to trouble the visitors.

The United centre-back will be reasonably pleased with his own work at the back, as he and Victor Lindelof continued their long run without conceding a Premier League goal.

It’s now been eight halves without conceding in the league, with Allan Saint-Maximin’s strike back on February 21, the last time their backline was breached.

But it’s at the other end where Maguire’s frustrations will lie, watching on as Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood both spurned wonderful chances to open the scoring before the break.
