Oprah’s interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sparked a storm of viral memes on social media, from references to The Little Mermaid film and The Crown series to the Red Table Talk show hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith and her family.

Sharing an image of Meghan pictured next to Ariel, the princess from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, user @PopCrave tweeted: “Meghan Markle compares her experience marrying into the Royal Family to ‘The Little Mermaid’: ‘She falls in love with a Prince and loses her voice, but in the end she gets her voice back.'” The tweet received over 19,000 likes since it was first posted on Monday.

Meghan spoke about how she related to Ariel in her interview. “I was sitting in Nottingham cottage and Little Mermaid came on,” Meghan told Oprah.

“And who, as an adult, really watches The Little Mermaid but it came on and I was like, ‘Well I’m here all the time I might as well watch this,’ and I went, ‘Oh my God she falls in love with the prince and because of that she loses her voice.’

“But in the end, she gets her voice back.”

Several Twitter users shared posts suggesting Queen Elizabeth II should appear on the Red Table Talk web television series where “three generations of women open their home for a series of candid conversations with family and friends,” according to the show’s website.
