It’s happened Jazz fans! Mike Conley is officially an NBA All-Star. The fourteen year veteran will suit up as an All-Star for the first time in his career.

Earlier this season, his Jazz teammates alongside Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies fans were making their pitches for Conley to be chosen as an All-Star. Unfortunately, during the announcement for the All-Star Game reserves on February 23, 2021 Conley didn’t hear his name called.

Fast forward a week and just under three full days later, and it was announced that Conley would be chosen as an injury replacement for the 2021 Mid-Season Game. It was announced that Conley will replace an injured Devin Booker, joining teammate Donovan Mitchell on Team Durant.

It was also announced that Conley will replace Booker, and join Mitchell in the Mountain Dew Three-Point Contest which will take place just before the All-Star Game.

Conley has been an integral part of the Utah Jazz successes this season, leading the team in assists (5.7) and steals (1.4) per game. This is his second season with the Jazz after completing his first twelve seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies.

His teammates were ecstatic, sending their congratulations via Twitter.
