Ninja Gaiden Sigma was originally released in 2007 for PlayStation 3. It is an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden Black, which is itself an improved version of Ninja Gaiden and it incorporates many of the gameplay features found in Ninja Gaiden Black. This game, and its sequels, are known for being notoriously hard, much like the original Ninja Gaiden games.Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was developed in the same vein as Ninja Gaiden Sigma in so much as it is an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden II. It was released in 2009 for PlayStation 3 and in 2013 for the PlayStation Vita, although it was released on the latter as Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge was released three years later in 2012 as an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden 3.
