Poll results: Broncos fans want team to trade for Deshaun Watson

Denver Broncos fans want general manager George Paton to trade for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, according to the results from a recent poll on Broncos Wire.
In the poll, 59% of fans said the team should trade for Watson compared to 41% of fans who opposed the hypothetical trade scenario. A total of 1,288 fans participated in the online poll.
The pros are obvious — land a franchise quarterback who led the NFL in passing yards last year and has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons. Trading for Watson could “change the trajectory” of the franchise, according to former Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey.
The cons are that it would likely take multiple first-round draft picks and several talented players to trade for Watson. In addition to not approving of the cost, some fans in Denver also don’t want to give up on Drew Lock.
The Broncos tried to acquire Matthew Stafford earlier this offseason but the Detroit Lions traded him to the Los Angeles Rams instead. It remains to be seen if Paton will also attempt to trade for Watson.
